CARDIO STRENGTH TRAINING

Cardio Strength Training is a non-traditional approach to training that utilizes the most beneficial aspects of cardiovascular training and resistance training to maximize results, and minimize the time it takes to achieve them. We are refining our current approach and will be using various forms of interval strength training including the revolutionary Tabata Protocol. Intense interval training can raise your metabolic rate to 15 times it is at rest, known as your BMR and it can also help boost your metabolic rate for 24 hours after completion. It increases both your aerobic capacity, and your anaerobic capacity, meaning an increase in stamina in both high and low intensity situations. Most importantly, it makes workouts more efficient, in as little as 4 minutes we can achieve the same cardio results as 60 minutes of low intensity steady pace cardio (treadmill, elliptical, bike)

HEART RATE TRAINING

Heart Rate Training revolves around the individual clients heart rate zones, and focusing on keeping them between 60-80% of their maximal heart rate (known as the fat burning zone). We start by finding your resting heart rate and calculating your maximal heart rate. Using these numbers we let your heart rate tell us what we need to know from there, when to kick up the tempo, when to maintain intensity, and when to dial it back a bit. We’re proud to offer an all-inclusive diet and weight-loss program designed to take out all the guess work, and take off the maximum number of pounds!

It starts with an initial screening, where we will discuss everything from past injuries to family health history and personal goals as well. After that we will go right into the assessment phase.

Using our state of the art SappFitness Metabolic Cart, equipped with clinical quality tools, we’ll measure your weight, body fat %, body girth, BMI, blood pressure, and resting metabolic rate (RMR).

We’ll then input this information it into our proprietary dietary system, DietMaster Pro and we’ll generate custom meal plans, complete with shopping lists!  Then it’s ‘simply’ a matter of following the plan, working hard, and watching the pounds melt away!

Body Composition

One of the key features of the SappFitness Metabolic Cart is our Tanita body composition analyzer. Tanita’s TBF-300A utilizes patented “foot-to-foot” BIA technology (Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis) to make determining internal body composition a fast and accurate procedure. While most other professional scales rely on inexpensive mechanical levers and springs that may wear out quickly, Tanita’s weighing system consists of a “motionless” block of solid metal known as a “Single-Point Load Cell.”

To you, this means better accuracy. It is accurate to 1/10% on body fat measurements. In addition to using the Tanita scale we will also use a tape measure to get girth measurements on the waist, hips, and arms amongst other locations. We also take a measurement of your resting blood pressure to complete the body composition.

Resting Metabolic Rate

The other part of the SappFitness Metabolic Cart is our RMR tester, the MetaCheck by Korr. The MetaCheck is a specialized tool for determining your personal RMR.

What is RMR?
RMR, resting metabolic rate, is the minimum number of calories your body burns throughout the day. If you were to do nothing but lay in a bed for 24 hours, it is the number of calories required for you to do the most basic things; breathing, maintaining body temperature…etc. It calculates this by determining how efficiently your body uses oxygen from inhale to exhale. The test itself is literally as easy as sitting around doing nothing, you just sit/lay in a relaxed position and exhale into the breathing tube for 10 minutes while the machine does the calculating. After the 10 minutes are up we have your personal RMR.

Diet Masters Pro

All the measurements get put to use in this final step of the process. Our diet software, DietMaster Pro, is all inclusive. We start by creating your custom profile, and then enter the data we measured; weight, body fat %, RMR. Using this data we can construct an entire meal plan, including a shopping list! The best thing about DietMaster Pro software is that all meals and grocery lists are designed by Registered Dietitions, and can be specified for any dietary/health related needs, ie diabetes, hypertension, allergies, or even just a dislike for a certain type of food!

When we combine these 3 crucial elements we give the oppurtunity maximize results and minimize headaches. At the end of our assessment you will walk away with your new meal plan and grocery list, but that is just the beginning of the journey.
