Forrest Gump put it best, “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” Never is this more true than when it comes to those nagging little injuries, sore joints and muscles we all get. Insert functional training. What exactly is functional training? For the most part functional training is training the body to be prepared for real world situations. Mimicking a wide variety of events, from walking up stairs, to carrying things, and even standing up and sitting down with control. This is achieved through various body weight, balance and coordination manipulation, training both the big muscles, but also and more importantly, it trains the smaller muscles, the stabilizer muscles. Strengthening these stabilizers can be the difference between regaining your balance and tumbling to the ground after an unexpected slip. Functional training is there to help make your everyday life as pain free as possible.
If there’s one thing that ties all boxers/mma fighters together (other than a penchant for black eyes) it is their killer physiques. It’s not that they are training to look that way, but rather they look that way as a by-product of their training. High intensity bouts with short rest periods, and a focus on core are the building blocks for this training style, and are useful and beneficial to anyone looking to kick their training up a notch, or looking to get a different style of workout to shake things up. We have highly skilled trainers with backgrounds in both training and competitive fighting, who are here to give everyone a safe, challenging workout experience. Good for all skill and fitness levels.
Whether your sport is played on the field, the court, or in the water we have the team in place to help you take your game to all new levels. Everything from muscular strength and power, to flexibility and core strength to help you accelerate your performance like you never dreamed possible.

Tactical Strength and Conditioning
How many push ups can you do in 2 min? Can you drag 100lb of dead weight? Maybe most of us will never know the answer to these questions, or need to, but police, fire, military and EMS personnel have to rely on abilities like these each and everyday. By using movement-specific training we will work together to prepare for and improve upon any and all aspects of any of the major physical tests, helping to maximize your score. In addition to just being prepared for the test it will get you prepared for some of the curves the job will throw at you on any given day, helping you to both be strong enough to do what ever task you come across, but also to minimize your risk of injury while doing so. Whether you are a new recruit to the police force or a seasoned military vet looking to improve your PT score, let us help you with a tailor-made training and nutrition plan.
